Eat A Fortune Cookie

2016: On her birthday, my Japanese manager gave everyone fortune cookies. It was some time around Chinese New Year. So I'm not very certain whether the fortune cookies were Japanese or Chinese in origin, but why be racist. A cookie is a cookie. Naturally, I took two, or maybe more, can't remember, but I only took photos of the first two, because according to fortune-cookie etiquette I read somewhere, it's only the first one you eat at any one time that is the most accurate. Anyway.

The writing looks Chinese though

The first one said "You will have many happy days soon", which I did by the way. And the second one said "When you finally let go of the past, something better comes along".

And that turned out to be true too. :-)
