2014: This was not my first time kayaking, but my first time kayaking in the sea. It was in Pagudpud, Northern Philippines on my trip to visit my future in-laws. The water was calm. There was no wave at all, and it was so clear we could see the sand at the bottom, even though it was probably about 2-3 meters deep.
We raced, explored and had a lot of fun. As I was the one with more experience compared to my partner, I did most of the rowing. There's no picture of us in the kayak though--only these two, taken before we started kayaking:
