I love volunteering especially when refreshments and free T-shirts are provided. It also means I get exempted from buying tickets to these cool events. And I get to order people around. Haha.
Big scale events that I have been involved with are only two though. They were both in 2010. The first one was Youth '10, and the second one Urbanscape at KLPac. The latter experience was rather disappointing, as they didn't seem to acknowledge our presence, or attempt to show much appreciation for our effort. We were pretty much left to our own devices, without so much as a briefing on what to do. It was a stark difference from how Youth '10 handled their volunteers.
