2016: This had been on my bucket list for quite awhile, but lobsters were always beyond my budget because I like to skimp on food, and they were just ridiculously expensive. I mean, aren't they just over-sized prawns?
One day, an old friend of mine, my former manager, dropped by at the bookstore I worked at to ask for a book. He invited me to his new restaurant, and offered a free dinner. (The restaurant was Red Lobster.) Now this guy knew perfectly well about my relationship with food, or rather my addiction? Obsession? Whatever you call it.
So the night I came, I had an appetizer of mussels and bread, followed by seafood & lobster spaghetti. It tasted like an over-sized prawn.
