These are some of the most memorable road trips that I went on with my friends.
2012: New Zealand South Island. I rented a car with a Dutch traveler I met through our Couchsurfing host in Christchurch. We went to Akaroa, Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. She drove the whole way because I didn't have an international driving license. Good thing she loved driving.
In the same year, a Couchsurfing host took me for a drive along the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne.
2014: I went to Japan and met up with a Japanese friend that I had met several years earlier, in Brunei. He drove me around Tokyo, and we went on a trip to Hakone and Mount Fuji.
Also in 2014, I had gone on road trips with my colleagues to nearby places in Malaysia.
