Known as Thai Festival of Lights, Loi Krathong is celebrated on the evening of the full-moon night of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. This year, it fell on the 22nd of November. It is not to be confused with Yi Peng, the sky lantern festival which is also celebrated around the same time in northern Thailand, particularly in Chiang Mai.
