2016: The Trick-Art Museum is in i-City, Shah Alam. It was fairly new when we visited. Apparently it was the first of its kind in Malaysia. Now there have been a few more, including in Penang and Langkawi.
The museum is divided into 5 themes: masterpieces, Egyptian, marine life, animal kingdom and modern classics. Basically, they're optical illusions. At first glance, they look just like any wall murals but slightly distorted. You won't see the 3D effect immediately. It's only when you look at them from a particular angle will you be able to see them come to life. For this reason, the floors are marked with X's --to indicate the right spot for you to stand to take photos of the arts.
Use your creativity on how to include yourself in the scenes to make them look believable. If you run out of ideas, there are sample poses pasted on the wall next to each painting. It's best to go with a partner so that you can be each other's photographer. We were lucky because there were only a few other visitors. We could really take our time trying out different poses with each picture. Here are some of them:
