Go to a Pet Cafe

Last February, my friend and I went to the  then newly-opened Huskiss cafe in Kelana Jaya.  Compared to other pet cafes in Klang Valley, this one was unique because it featured only huskies. But first we had to call to make a booking. There were several time slots, each one lasting one and a half hours. They were open from 12 pm - 9.30 pm, allowing two hours of naptime for the huskies at around 4 pm.

The entrance fee was RM20 per person, with one complimentary drink. They also served food, although I don't think you'd want to waste your time eating.

One of the crew members greeted us at the door and briefed us on the do's and don'ts that we must adhere to. For example, before entering the play area, we had to remove our shoes and sanitize our hands. We were not allowed to feed or attempt to lift the Huskids, as they called them.

They had at least 5 huskies in there, all adult-size, no puppies. And all of them were super adorable. How can they not be, with all that fluff and those blue eyes and pointy ears?

Let me warn you though that if you're expecting to get a lot of love and cuddle time with the huskies, you'd probably be disappointed. They were a rowdy bunch, always running around, sniffing each other's butts. (One of the guests also had her butt sniffed at. Lucky her.) It was a feat to get them to sit still long enough for a photo. One big husky actually jumped over my shoulder while I was sitting on the floor. Good thing that all the tables and chairs were too high for them to reach.

Maybe it was because we came during the first session and the dogs were still very excitable. I suppose as the day progresses, they would probably mellow down somewhat.

Still, I don't recommend it for people who are in any way uncomfortable around dogs. Like, if you're just accompanying your friend, but are actually--secretly--a little intimidated of dogs, then just don't. You'd better start off with other dog cafes that have smaller and calmer dogs.

As we were busy taking photos, a little accident happened. One of the huskies pooped right behind me. It was the watery kind and stank up the whole room. I knew dog shit was not supposed to smell that bad. Poor baby probably had an upset tummy or something. But the workers quickly apologized and cleaned up the mess. One of them was always standing guard with a bucket and a mop in his hands.

Enjoy the videos and pictures!

This was right before the one behind me started pooping on the floor just a few inches away.
Look at the expressions of the other guests. 😂

They just started humping each other right in front of me.

So obsessed with a hole in the floor
